PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

Marcie Hefler is a highly experienced and skilled attorney with a career spanning over three decades. Her passion for justice and her commitment to serving her clients has defined her legal journey, demonstrating a depth of knowledge and proficiency that is unparalleled.

Beginning her career in a boutique personal injury firm, Marcie crafted her skills as a trial lawyer, participating in hundreds of arbitrations, conducting jury and bench trials, and drafting appeals. Her areas of concentration during this time laid a strong foundation for her later work, which included representing defendants in catastrophic injury/loss cases and employers in workers' compensation and employment matters.

From 2000 to 2012, Marcie honed her focus on litigation. She represented clients in a range of areas, including medical malpractice, wrongful death, premises liability, and general liability cases. Her commitment to understanding her clients' needs and delivering excellent results saw her represent a broad spectrum of clients, from individuals to large corporations.

In 2012, Marcie took a significant step in her career, joining the in-house legal department at Saint Anthony Hospital. This role expanded her practice areas to include corporate compliance, commercial litigation, corporate governance, regulatory and compliance issues, and she acted as a human resources liaison for employment issues. Here, she also handled leasing relationships and vendor contracts, strengthening her knowledge of corporate law.

In July 2015, leveraging her wide-ranging expertise and passion for client advocacy, Marcie established Hefler Law, LLC. Here, she focused her practice on probate litigation, guardianship matters (including those involving adults, minors, and children with disabilities), decedents' estates, wills, powers of attorney, living wills, general litigation, contract review, healthcare law, and employment litigation.

Marcie's vast experience and her commitment to providing her clients with the best possible representation have positioned her as an outstanding attorney in her field. Today, she continues to provide her clients with expert advice and representation, embodying the dedication and proficiency that has characterized her legal career.

Marcie volunteers as the Jewish United Fund (“JUF”) Evelyn R. Green Legal Services Vice Chair.
